Happy New Year!
With the Omicron variant surge in the Philippines for the past three weeks, I pray that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. May we find comfort in believing that God is with us through all of these. And that at the end of the day, we will come out stronger!
We are on the third week of 2022 and I am almost certain that many of you have already written down your New Years Resolutions or have created your Vision Boards.
But did you know, that according to U.S News and World Report, 80% of New Year's Resolutions are abandoned by February?
Just think about it. How many of you included diet and exercise in their list yet they haven't started it until now?
With this, you may want to try a new strategy. The Gratitude Planning System I learned from Bo Sanchez during one of The Feast's videos on their Facebook page.
Here are the steps:
1. Create a GRATITUDE LIST from 2021. Check your FB Highlights, Instagram posts, your gallery or your calendar from last year. From the many things you did, list down all the things that you are grateful for -- from being able to set aside money for your retirement, enjoying a healthy meal, accomplishing 10,000 steps, to time spent with family during the Holidays. This is your Gratitude List.
2. Encircle the TOP 20% (More and Less LIST). From your Gratitude List, encircle the Top 20% that you would want to do more of this year.
3. Schedule your "MORE LIST" in your 2022 Calendar. By doing this, we are planning to do more of the things that we are grateful for. And putting them on our calendars make it intentional.
Writing a blog is one of my favorite things to do. When I was still employed, I remember writing while waiting for doctors. I write before I sleep past midnight. There were even days when I would wake up at 5am to write.
Today, as a Financial Professional, I am grateful that I have more time to write! And as long as there is at least one person that this blog can inspire and move to action, I am happy. Because through this, I know that I am serving my purpose -- to empower Filipinos financially, one content at a time.
Final Note
As I have learned, a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles. As the New Year gives us a clean new slate, may we learn from the lessons of the past and I pray that you have a grace-filled 2022!
Thank you for reading until the end. I hope you find this post helpful. Be very blessed!
