Invest According To Your Age

https://www.facebook.com/ANC.OnTheMoney/photos/a.223562134446114.57105.160687700733558/576047875864203/?type=1&theatre

Today, I came across the post above on my Facebook wall. And when I read the Stocks Update from the Truly Rich Club on my email, it was saying the same thing -- that we should invest according to our age.

Since I do not know how much of my friends' money are invested in stocks, I will use myself as an example for this.

100 - 32 (my age) = 68% of my money SHOULD BE in stocks

I remember my cousin when he said that I was such a risk-taker when he knew that I have (almost) all of my money in stocks. I have a term insurance. I have health insurance. And I have set aside my emergency fund which is three times my salary. And the rest? It is invested in the stock market.

While you are still young, our mentor at the Truly Rich Club is teaching us to invest more in the stock market -- so that you increase the size of your Retirement Fund. But the rule is that you only invest according to the amount where you can have a good night's sleep.

I think I am part of the minority because I can sleep soundly even if I have invested more that 68% of my savings in the stock market. I can sleep soundly even during those times when I see all RED in my portfolio, because I know that it is all temporary.

But when someone hits 60 or 70 years old, that is the time he may need to set aside 20 percent to 50 percent in fixed assets, or even time deposit. This is because when a person reaches retirement age and no longer receives salary, he may need cash at anytime for bigger emergencies.

Invest according to your age.

Happy investing!

Generously Blessed by Tithing

I had the opportunity to share how God has generously blessed me through tithing at the Feast PICC yesterday, February 15, 2015. The Feast is a Catholic spiritual gathering led by Bo Sanchez.

Although I have never talked in front of an audience before or led a group to prayer, I said YES when I was asked to do it. God does not always call those who are equipped, but He equips those He calls.

And there I was, talking and leading a prayer in front of thousands of Feast attendees during the 8am, 930am, 1030am and 1pm sessions.

Let me share with you of how God has generously blessed me.

Two Saturdays ago, I was flat broke after paying off investment and insurance premiums and was left with only Php500 in my wallet. Coming from Tarlac City, I told myself, “Hindi ata ako makakapag-Feast kasi kulang pa pera ko pang toll.” And it was as if God heard me, because when I checked my ATM balance, it had a Php2800 balance. Our rice and milk ration was deposited on a Saturday evening, which rarely happens. It was like God saying, “Ayan, may pang Feast ka na.”

That Sunday, I went to the Feast, I faithfully gave my tithes, I registered for a Pilgrimage to Anawim, not worrying if my money would still last until payday, which was two weeks away then. I knew in my heart that God will never leave me empty-handed.

On Tuesday, I was back to my Php500 balance. Working in the field, that amount could last only a day or two, the most. I told myself that if worse comes to worst, I am breaking my piggy bank!

Then I experienced God’s faithfulness. On my way home from work, my brother texted me saying that he deposited Php5,000 in my account for the money he owed me. That was unexpected, because I told him that money was payable when able. I told myself, “Wow! What a relief.” That amount could last until payday.

God’s blessings did not stop there. The next day, I received another text message saying that a PHp15,000 was credited to my account from our network marketing business. Later that day, I checked another ATM and it had a Php21,000 balance from another passive income source.

It is true that when we faithfully tithe, God gives back the blessings “siksik, liglig at umaapaw pa!” My cup was overflowing.

We may be financially broke now, but God has equipped us with talents and resources to maximize our earning potential, not to increase our standard of living, but to increase our standard of giving. He uses us as a channel of His blessings. God is faithful to meet our needs in His right time and in His most perfect way.

Be very blessed!

Create Your Wealth Beliefs

http://i2.wp.com/www.christovanzyl.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/beliefs.jpg?resize=400%2C266

"Everything I need comes to me."

This is my wealth belief. This is a belief that will actually bring blessings and abundance into my life. Imagine waking up every morning with this thought -- that everything you need comes to you. People to help you start a business, they will come to you. The wisdom about investing, they will come to you. Money that you need as capital, they will all come to you.

In Genesis 15:5, He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

In Mark 11:23, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."

In Proverbs 23:7, "For as he thinks within himself, so is he."

Believe, and it will come true.

"Your habits are a thousand times more powerful
than your decisions."

This is the reason why nothing happens in the decisions we make in our lives. We always include losing weight in our new year's resolutions, but more often than not, we stop there. This is the reason why fitness gyms are full during January, but when February comes, they are almost empty again.

We make a decision that we will start investing, small amounts every month. But when we see a shoe on sale which we do not really need, nothing happens with our desire to invest.

Two Kinds of Habits

1. Habits of Action

Examples of habits of action are brushing your teeth three times daily, taking a bath everyday, tying your shoe without thinking, and driving your car. Everything is automatic.

2. Habits of Thought

Another word for habits of thought are called beliefs. And these beliefs are a thousand times more powerful than your decisions and desires.

This is because beliefs are in your unconscious minds, while your decisions and desires are in your conscious minds.

Your conscious mind is limited that you cannot even memorize 16 numbers that do not have meaning repeated to you three times.

But your unconscious mind, it manages ten million cells that die in your body every second, and the ten million cells that are being created in your body every single second.

The unconscious mind do not memorize 16 numbers, but it memorizes ten million numbers every second forever. That is how powerful your unconscious mind is. Its limit is yet to be discovered.

"You can achieve anything if you understand
the power of your brain."

Create New Beliefs

Be like a wealthy person who has habits of thought and action of creating wealth, where everything is a automatic.

At first it will be difficult, but as time goes by, it will become easier and easier.

You may ask, how long does it take to create a new habit? The answer, 21 days. "We are what we repeatedly do," Aristotle proclaimed. You have to do it consistently. Everyday.

Four Steps to Re-wire Your Beliefs

1. Write a clear vision or emotional why.

2. Write new beliefs that support your vision.

3. Three times a day, imagine your vision and declare your new beliefs.

4. Make vision reminders. Use a dream journal or dream boards.

Belief that everything you need comes to you. Write it. Imagine and declare it. Visualize it. And it will come true.

Be very blessed!

BOLD Perspective: Dare to Ask God for the Impossible

Trust in God's promises.

We have the tendency to break our promises. But the good news is, God never breaks His promises to us. As what Bro. Alvin Barcelona said, one of the Feast Builders, the promise came first and not the prayer.

In addition, Bro. Deuce Cosio said that while we are all being conceived, God's promise is already there. And God wants to fulfil this promise in our life that is why we have bold prayers. The problem is, we think the promise is limited, that is why we tend to look at other people, comparing their blessings with ours.

In James 1:17 it says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

All of God's promise is good, but not everything that is good is good for you. This is the reason why God answers our prayers in four different ways.

Four Ways That God Answers Our Prayers

1. You are not right, the timing is not right. God says NO, because He wants to give you something better. Sometimes that NO is saying "I love you so much, I do not want you to get hurt."

Sometimes, God's NO is the sweetest YES.

2. You are right, but the timing is not right. God says SLOW. Maybe what God is giving you now are still seeds, that needs time to grow. Waiting is good. Waiting for God's perfect time is always good.

3. You are not right, but the timing is right. God says GROW. Because sometimes we have to learn like letting go of other things that are less important.

4. You are right, and the timing is right. God says GO. It is a yes, and the secret with this "yes" is God saying, "Wait, there is more!"

Most importantly, we must remember that a BOLD PRAYER requires a BOLD TRUST in our PROVIDER.

The greatest promise that God gave us is love. If you want to receive more blessings in your life, keep praying bold prayers, but keep on trusting the Lord because God keeps on loving you every moment of your life.

Bro. Bo Sanchez's Talk

God answers our prayers in four ways with a NO, SLOW, GROW and GO. But we want God to answer our prayers with a YES, YES, YES and YES. But that is not the case because we have a God that says, "NO, I reserve the right to answer your prayer the way I want to answer it."

If only God is like a "vendo machine God" that if you put the right coin, or put the right prayer, or put the right scripture verse or put the right mantra, viola! Kling-klang-klang, and the beverage you want will drop.

We want that kind of a God. We are tempted to want God to be a "vendo machine God" because we want to control Him.

A friend of Bro. Bo is a devotee of Mother of Perpetual Help. She says that if you want to pass any kind of board exam, all you have to do is make a novena to the Mother of Perpetual Help for nine weeks in Baclaran and 100%, you will pass any board exam GUARANTEED.

Another friend believes in the intercession for lost things to St. Anthony de Padua. If you lose anything, just pray to St. Anthony de Padua and 100%, you will find it GUARANTEED.

And another friend says that if you want anything, pray the prayer of Jabez. In 1 Chronicles 4:10 it says, "Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!" And God granted him what he requested.

Another friend says that you have to combine prayer and fasting, which is a lethal combination, and God cannot say no to you.

Bro. Bo says that he would be scared if God cannot say no to him. He wants that, in appropriate times, God reserves the right to say no because He knows so much better. The problem is we want a God who we can control that if we give a certain formula, He will give us what we want. But that is not God. If He is a God that we can control, then God ceases to be God.

Remember that it God who is in control of our lives.

Three Steps of Faith

Follow these three steps of faith and all of God's dreams for your life will come true.

1. SEE

See your dream. Visualize and imagine it. Dream big dreams. The size of your vision determines the size of your victory. Remember that the moment you stop dreaming is the time you start dying.

2. SOW

Sow the seeds of your dream. You have to act to make your dreams happen.

3. SURRENDER

There is a prayer that is more powerful than the prayer of Jabez. It is the prayer of Jesus, "Lord, not my will, but Yours be done."

You pray bold prayers and you dream big dreams, but at the end of the day, you surrender, and you put your agenda in God's big hands where you have peace.

Don't forget the third step.

But you cannot jump to step 3 without going through steps 1 and 2. As St. Irinaeus said, "The glory of God is man fully alive." That is what step 1 and step 2 does. It makes you fully alive.

Remember that more important than the dream is the Dream-giver.
