Let me share a story from the Feast one Sunday.
A woman named Teri thought of buying a painting at a flea market for her sick friend. She saw an odd one that was priced at $8. Because this friend is not very close to her, she asked if she could just buy it for $5 instead. The seller agreed.
Her friend was dating an art professor and when they saw the painting, the latter said that Teri may have a Jackson Pollock in her hand.
The painting was authenticated and concluded to be worth millions of dollars. Teri is now selling it for $50 million!!!
The Lesson
There are times when we are guilty of looking down at ourselves. We think that we are not worthy of anyone's love. We think that there is no point in living. We stay in bad relationships. Worst, we even consider putting an end to our lives.
Friend, stop looking at yourself like a $5 piece of junk at a flea market. Always bear in mind that you are created in the image and likeness of God.
When God looks at you, He sees His masterpiece -- and you are worth way more than the $50 million Jackson Pollock painting.
Don't throw your life away. Use your gifts. Pursue your passion. Be a blessing to many. Help fulfill God's purpose.
Be very blessed!
